A Quick Four

Hello hello, my sweet friends! So today’s post isn’t a whole lot, I’ve been in Lafayette with Sutton’s baseball team this weekend then was at Jazz Fest Sunday, and am taking my Occupational Therapy certification exam this week so my brain is MUSH and my eyelids are HEAVY right now.

So, just a few things:

  1. My Mother’s Day giveaway with the Basketry is still going on! Head over to Instagram and Facebook to find out the deets on how to enter! You have until precisely 11:59 P.M. tomorrow to get your entries in ❤ Screen Shot 2018-04-29 at 10.43.08 AM.png
  2.  Like I mentioned up top, I’m taking my Occupational Therapy boards exam this week. What I haven’t mentioned is that I’m slightly (read: completely) freaking the heck out. I’m a weirdo in that I legitimately love standardized tests…. weird, I know. Like SAT week when we were in elementary school was my favorite week of the year, and not only because we got to bring snacks, although I’m sure that had a littttttle something to do with it. But this is the big one, the one that kind of decides my fate- no pressure right?!?! SO say some serious prayers for me and my classmates taking our exam this week and for everyone who is finishing up the school year taking finals and standardized tests and even for those who are just taking BuzzFeed tests to find out what character on Friends they are, some of those questions can be tricky too 😉 we all need prayers.
  3. Unfortunately, our baseball season came to an end this week *cue real tears*. Our Comets fought so hard all season to make it this far in the playoffs, and we are so proud of them for all of their hardwork on the field and for being incredible men both on and off of the field. Thankfully, we still have one more season of high school baseball since Sutton is only a Junior, but I am so sad to lose our Seniors and their awesome families. We have had so much fun cheering on our #3 and the rest of the boys all season. Screen Shot 2018-05-06 at 10.20.04 PM
  4. JAZZ FEST- I really can’t put into words just how much my heart needed this day. I ate Crawfish Monica, drank some Strawberry Lemonade, and lounged around the fairgrounds singing and dancing with my old roommate Emily while listening to The Steve Miller Band, Galactic, Trombone Shorty, Rockin’ Doopsie, Rebirth Brass Band, and my favorites, FLOWTRIBE! Today was one of those days where I was reminded just how blessed I am. I’m lucky to have a friend like her and I’m lucky to get to spend so much time in the greatest city in the entire world.

Be sure to subscribe so that you get my weekly posts sent straight to your email every Monday! I’m so thankful for you guys and your endless support and prayers for me during these last few weeks- I feel them working 🙂 I hope you feel my prayers for you working in your own life too! Screen Shot 2018-03-18 at 10.19.05 PM
